Second professional signing from inaugural women’s team

FLINT, Mich. — Former Flint City AFC forward Lexxe Lipsey has been signed to a professional contract by ASA Tel Aviv WFC, a first-division (Ligat Al Women) side in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Southfield, Michigan, native is the second Flint City AFC alumnus to play professionally; Zoë Hudson previously signed with first-division Portuguese side Valadares Gaia FC.

Lipsey has made an immediate impact as a starter for her new side.

ASA Tel Aviv is affiliated with Tel Aviv University. The club has eight Ligat Nashim titles and five Israeli Women's Cup finals. It has participated in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Lipsey graduated after the fall 2021 season from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she played two seasons after starting her college career at Ohio State University.

In her development, she played six seasons with Michigan Hawks under coach Doug Landefeld, who is now an associate head coach at Flint City AFC. Their side in 2016 won the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) national championship, as well as the Michigan State Cup championship.
